Abstract

Preserved at France National Library, at the Literature and Art Department, the transition journal was published in France and contains various texts in different languages. Because it was published in the continent, it entered the French legal deposit. We will examine how transition, which was published in Paris from 1927 to 1950, as a periodical publication distinct from the more controlled context of the edition, contributed to the artistic and literary modernity and promoted a cosmopolite Atlantic through a huge number of literary and linguistic encounters.
